Winter

I haven't blogged much lately because, frankly, I haven't had much to say. I am in a refining place in my life. I am soaking in as much as I can. I am desperate for God, for the Holy Spirit, in my life. I am struggling to find the Joy again in my life. It's not only winter in the natural, but winter in my soul. It's cold and dark and the sun seems so far away. I am ready for spring, but I know winter is where I need to be right now. It's where God is going to mold me and shape me into a new creation.

Every free time I have, I am soaking in God's word, either through a book that I am reading or listening to online Bible teaching. There are so many great resources online. I just got done watching a great message from Joseph Prince. This is my lifeline right now. I'm learning to be still and listen for the Lord's direction and leading. Jesus Calling Devotional

I've said it so many times, that I will refrain from telling you again how much I love this devotional. I will let it speak for itself. May your heart and soul be touched by the love of Christ today and may you know just how much He loves and cares for you.

Do not worry

This was my devotional today from "Jesus Calling" and it was too good not to post. I pray that if you are in a place of worry like I have been, to cast those over to the Lord. I am speaking from experience that there is such freedom in doing so. When those doubts and fears come in, replace them with what God's word says. This is something I am doing on a daily basis, hourly in fact. Remember that fear is never from the Lord. Satan will put those fears in your mind. If he can get you to believe them, then you will begin to act them out and he will have you in a place where you are in bondage to those fears. When you are in bondage to them, you can't fully see what the Lord has for you. The goodness and peace he can bring to you. This realization has helped me out immensely over the last few weeks.
